The George Town Chamber of Commerce encourages members to lead by example and also support local businesses for goods and services wherever possible. It also encourages the wider community to have input into achieving an even better community.
The George Town Chamber of Commerce supports existing local business, industry and enterprise and encourages new enterprises from manufacturing and heavy industry, educational, retail, support services and tourism in the George Town and surrounding areas. It is committed to continually developing strategies to improve the image of George Town and endeavour to promote its people, natural assets and business enterprise.
Executive committee
Our executive committee meets regularly to execute actions on behalf of the chamber and board, and to advance opportunities for George Town.
Staff
The chamber currently employs one part-time staff member, who provides administration and day-to-day operational support to the Executive and Business Support to Members.
Board
Our board members actively engage in policy decisions and strategic planning of the chamber and our region.

Nomination entries for the 2023 Business Excellence Awards remain open till 30th September. Judging will take place on the 11th or 12th October - finalists will be advised where and which day at least a week before.

For every $10.00 spent in participating stores you have the chance to fill in a ticket for the weekly draw leading into Xmas. Each week during December there will be a $100.00 Gift Card and the Grand Prize being a $500.00 Gift Card.
